This book, for the first time, studies the impact of tourism on the environment, specifically, on the depleted aquatic resources of the Spanish Costa del Sol.This depletion is caused by the construction of nearly one hundred golf courses, along the coast, from Málaga to Cádiz. The “Tourism Area Life Cycle” theory is applied to this space. From it, a new stage within the cycle is devised, given the destination’s history, as well as environmental present.
