Muryad de Bruin
Muryad de Bruin was born and raised in Curaçao. From a young age, he developed a fervent passion for Hospitality & Tourism, which motivated him to pursue his studies in Hospitality Management at the SBO level while simultaneously working part-time in various roles within the hospitality sector. This diverse experience deepened his interest in the field of hospitality and tourism. Upon completing his SBO program, he continued his educational journey by enrolling in the International Business & Management program at the Rotterdam Business School, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree with a minor in Marketing. A few years later, at the University of Curaçao, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Strategic Management.
In 2019, Muryad embarked on his professional journey in Curaçao, starting his career in the Airline Industry and later transitioning to roles in the retail and banking sectors. Driven by his passion for the Tourism Industry, he made a swift transition to join the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) in 2016, marking a new chapter in his professional journey. During his initial two years at CTB, he held the position of Regional Manager South America and played a crucial role in boosting tourism from this region. Between 2018 and 2022, he was responsible for driving tourism growth in Europe, holding the title of Regional Manager Europe.
Today, as the Managing Director and a senior management team member at CTB, Muryad is devoted to the sustainable development of Curaçao's tourism industry. His mission is to foster local community involvement in the tourism experience while simultaneously providing a safe and sustainable destination for all visitors.
