Aggelos Panayiotopoulos

Aggelos Panayiotopoulos is a senior lecturer in international tourism management, at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University, and co-leader of the Tourism, Travel, Culture and Heritage research group. His research focuses on tourism development, adopting a critical perspective. His work unpicks the political, cultural and spatial aspects of tourism and its impact on places and people. He has published research on overtourism, heritage consumption, sense of place, critical pedagogy and scholar activism. Dr, Panayiotopoulos has presented a number of conference papers and seminars. Finally, he sits on the editorial committee of the journal Frontiers in Sustainable Tourism, and is a reviewer for a number of journals.
