Angelo Presenza is Associate Professor of Management at the Department of Economics, University of Molise, Italy. With a strong academic background in tourism economics and business management, he has extensive expertise in destination competitiveness analysis, business innovation, and strategic management.
His doctoral research focused on assessing destination competitiveness using stakeholder analysis. His postdoctoral work includes research stays at Dalhousie University (Canada), the University of Denver (USA), and the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain).
Professor Presenza has published extensively in high-impact academic journals, with research interests spanning sustainable tourism, innovation management, open innovation in SMEs, and business model analysis in hospitality and gastronomy. His scholarly contributions are widely cited in international literature. Professor Presenza plays an active role in the academic community through international research networks, and collaborations with institutions such as TIDES (Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development) and Emotur Lab at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He is Editorial Board Member of several journals such as International Journal of Tourism Research, Tourism Planning & Development, and Journal of Enterprising Communities: People and Places in the Global Economy. At the National Level, he is the coordinator of the Thematic Group of Tourism & Cultural Management of the Italian Society of Management (SIMA).
